Welcome to a world of sugar and spice. Hope you will enjoy looking at my attempts at artistry in sugar crafting.
The contents of the page include different kinds of fancy cakes with handmade flowers and filigree work and ornaments including Sri Lankan cuisine.
My domicile of origin is Sri Lanka, and came to Sweden in 1971 following my husband who was attached to the Embassy here. The Mission was a newly opened one and thus was heavily involved in its establishment, especially on the catering side to all its Functions. Since then, I was preparing Food items for all of the Embassy Official Functions, particularly by providing decorative and fancy short-eats.
I also did a lot of catering, particularly to private Birthday Parties of friends, and Associates and of People of Standing, Officials of KF, etc. Betrothal and Specially Designed Wedding Cakes (both Very Rich Fruit Cakes as well as all other types of Fancy cakes were also provided depending on the customer’s likes and dislikes). My speciality is in the making of Sugar- flowers and Ornaments made out of Icing-sugar which can be preseved for many years - and they are mostly hand-made.
